SHOOT OUT - Tonight - Friday 13th July - Celebrates 10 years.
The formula is simple. The Shoot Out dares filmmakers to come to a city to make a short film on video in 24 hours. Filmmakers have from 9pm Friday night until 9pm Saturday night to complete and hand in their film. Given the time restrictions, filming must be on video format and the final product dubbed onto the mini DV tape supplied.
The Conditions To make the event even more interesting, there are certain conditions that provide a challenge for even the most skilful filmmakers and immediately create a level playing field for all competitors. The films must be: • 7 mins or less • use in camera editing only, and • include a number of items from the organisers’ selected list. The selected items are specific to the city the film is made and therefore their inclusion ensures that the films are made in that city over the 24 hour period. |
